REANNZ (Research and Education Advanced Network New Zealand) is critical to building New Zealand’s IP economy. As an independent high-speed network free from commercial traffic, it enables New Zealand’s science and education sector to connect with their peers and high-tech research instruments around the globe, utilising big data with near-zero latency. As a key tool to communicate with their funders and end users, the 2017 Annual Report was conceived to represent an unrestricted high-performance data pipe mapping the network’s bleeding-edge network hardware nodes.
